My senior Dachshund is a total girly girl. She’s very dainty and always has impeccable manners. She walks using graceful steps and even runs in a ladylike fashion. This petite pooch insists on wearing her pink leash and harness on walks, and outright refuses to wear anything of her Pug brother’s even if her items are in the wash. My Doxie loves to be brushed to ensure that her hair always looks its best.
Honeydew is a three-legged dog who also appears to be a very feminine fur baby. She even enjoys having a true girls’ night and figured out how to do her mom’s hair.
In the TikTok from @whatshoneydewing, the light golden dog had her paw propped up on her mom so she could get the best angle on her hair. Honeydew sectioned pieces of her mom’s locks and pulled on them with her teeth, probably to implement a straightening effect.
Honeydew used her one front paw for leverage as she bit at the scrunchie her mom’s hair was tied in. It’s unclear whether the fashion-forward fur baby was trying to remove the accessory or pull her mom’s hair tighter for a higher bun or ponytail. The self-appointed solo glam squad was clearly determined to give her mother a stylish ‘do.
Throughout the entire beauty process, Honeydew handled her mom’s hair with gentle care and professionalism. No wonder her mom trusts this canine coiffeur!
Honeydew Makes a Hobby of Hairstyling
Honeydew’s mom posted the pooch’s story in a previous video and shared how she adopted her from the Humane Society of Western Montana. The dog had a defective leg that lacked any feeling, so the rescue orgnaizaiton decided it was best to have it removed.
“When I met her for the first time, her leg had just been amputated,” her mom explained in the onscreen text. “Outside of tripping here and there, having just three legs has not slowed Honeydew down in the slightest.”
The video featured Honeydew enjoying her days running, playing and carrying sticks. Her mom mentioned that the sweet canine loves “leaves, snacks, stealing socks, and eating my hair.”

Maybe “eating” hair has evolved into styling it instead since Honeydew seems like a natural-born beautician. Regardless, this pup is adorable!
