Dachshund Calmly Joining Pug Sibling’s ‘Screaming Party’ Is the Best Wing Woman

Some dogs just love to scream. There are some dogs who are more prone to it than others: some dogs will never scream for a second, while others aren’t able to make it even one full day without hooting and hollering.

Pugs are one of the most unlikely, yet most prolific screaming breeds the world may ever know. They’re seriously so loud, and for no reason whatsoever. Pugs seem to believe that every single thing is the end of the world!

If you can’t beat them, join them! Recently, one Dachshund’s Pug sibling was having a scream-fest, and she didn’t want him to feel alone. What better way to make sure of that than to join in and start screaming herself? No man left behind:

Floki and Vienna have been together forever, so you can trust that they know a thing or two about each other. Specifically, Vienna knows all about Floki’s love of screaming. Listen, he’s a senior citizen. He does not love that others exist, and he shares that opinion very loudly.

Most of the time, Vienna doesn’t join in. Floki is just hooting and hollering: very rarely is there anything that Vienna deems worthy of that kind of effort. On this day, though, she decided to go for it, and the two of them were having so much fun!

When he’s not hooting and hollering, Floki can usually be found napping (to recharge for his next scream session), or he’s out for a walk. Except he doesn’t really like to walk for long distances, so they bring along a stroller for him to ride around in. Sometimes he barks at Vienna while inside.

This video is a good example of Floki’s attitude problem, but it’s not the best example. For that, you need to see him go all-in, paw up and all:

He’s amazing. I would not love being his neighbor, but I have loved watching him from afar forever!

Pugs Love to Scream

Floki is one example of classic Pug behavior. It may seem strange, but these dogs are genuinely some of the loudest dogs you could ever have: they’re a little smaller, so it might be a little quieter than, like, a Husky, but it’s still pretty loud and just as frequent.

Pugs will often scream because:

  1. They see something threatening.

  2. They see something they don’t like.

  3. They see something they do like, but can’t immediately access.

Pugs will also scream and yelp if they’re in pain, so if you notice these sounds coming on suddenly, you might want to keep an eye on it. If Floki’s mom was monitoring every time he screamed, though, she would never take her eyes off of him!
