We’ve all had days where we just want to lay around on the sofa covered in blankets and watch TV. With the cold weather and early dark hours setting in, the temptation to just hunker down and stay in with a good book is very strong. Even my fur babies aren’t clamoring to go outside like they usually do in more bearable temperatures. My two canine cuties prefer being cozy couch potatoes rather than outdoor adventurers this time of year.
Shmoo the Pit Bull mix seems to feel the same way. When presented with the choice of going for a stroll or staying in her comfy position under a fleecy covering, the pretty Pittie opted for what many of us would.
In the TikTok from @shmoothemagicaldog, the precious Pit Bull was tucked under a cozy blanket on the couch enjoying a little R&R. Her mom wanted to know if she was interested in heading outside.
“Do you want to go walkies or do you want to stay snuggies?” Shmoo’s mom asked.
The fur baby’s deadpan expression spoke volumes. Shmoo didn’t move a muscle and just gave her mom a look that seemed to say, “Seriously?”
“I’m going to take that as you want to stay snuggies. That’s ok,” her mom deduced as she covered her a little more with the blankie.
The onscreen text gave a hint as to Shmoo’s location for the next few months: “Where you’ll find Shmoo til spring.”
Keeping Your Dog Active in Winter
While some large dog breeds like Newfoundlands and Siberian Huskies love the snow and colder temps, others aren’t crazy about Jack Frost nipping at their noses. Still, it’s important for your dog to exercise regardless of the weather.
Some fun indoor activities that can get them moving include a good game of tug of war with a rope toy, indoor fetch, or even hide and seek.

Try creating an obstacle course to challenge your dog both physically and mentally. You can also practice obedience drills at home or sign your pooch up for a training class so they can socialize with other furry friends.
Shmoo seems to prefer more sedentary activities. Considering how cozy she looks, I can’t say I blame her.
