Fluffy White Cat’s Selfless Way of Caring for Sick Human Mom Proves True Love Does Exist

Some cats may be more aloof and independent—especially compared to their canine friends—but they still show their love in their own special ways. You just have to know what to look for! Whether it’s a cat grooming her grandson or bringing her humans unique gifts, feline love is all around.

No one knows this better than cat mom @gretta_zou, who’d been sick in bed for several days before her cat, Milky, took matters into her own paws. The fluffy white feline may have her own unique ways of telling mom to feel better soon, but her selflessness is impressive and moving nonetheless.

Aww, could Milky be any cuter? The way she waits expectantly by her mom’s bedside is precious enough, but my heart melted when I saw the gift she left on the duvet. In her mind, she’s giving Mom a nutritious snack so she can heal up even faster and feel like herself again.

“A cat sharing food?” @zchewi asked in disbelief. “Girl, she loves you.” You can say that again! Bringing loved ones gifts is a common way that cats show their affection, but it’s extra special when that gift is something edible.

Some viewers melted when they noticed just how proud Milky is to present her gift, but others were more concerned with how the gift was received. One commenter even admitted, “I’d force myself to eat it for her.” After all, that is the polite thing to do!

The considerate cat mama claims that she did, in fact, eat the kibble her thoughtful kitty brought her. However, she couldn’t help but react very differently when Milky pulled a similar stunt the next day.

Cats Bringing Gifts

Since the gift of cat food was gratefully accepted, Milky decided to take it up a notch for the next day’s present. Even though she was one proud feline while presenting her ‘gift,’ @gretta_zou wasn’t so thrilled with this find. The video is here if you’d like to see it, but let’s just say that Milky had a busy morning of hunting.

Although unalived presents can be unnerving to humans, cats genuinely appreciate them. Gifting their prey to loved ones can be a cat’s way of showing love, loyalty, and care, regardless of the recipients’ species.

My family learned about cats’ affinity for gift-giving after we befriended the neighbors’ cats at our old home. Having feline friends around was so much fun, but there were surprises in our yard more times than we could count!

Milky has a unique strategy in mind for helping her mom feel better, so it’s nice to know that the cat mom can appreciate the sentiment despite the challenges of the gifts themselves. She means well!
