If you eagerly anticipate your morning cup of coffee, you’ll understand immediately where this Chihuahua is coming from.
For Tinker, the drive-thru was taking a little longer than he could handle as he waited for his Pup Cup. He blended manners with pure excitement in classic Chihuahua fashion, and it’s one of the most adorable moments you’ll see this week.
Watch his ridiculously cute patience game in a TikTok shared by @shannonwilkinson2021 on November 26:
The second you see Tinker, you know he is keyed in. Those ears practically levitate. He sits up, tries to scoot a little closer in hopes it speeds the moment along, and then flops back down with dramatic disappointment when nothing happens. His eyes stayed locked on the window, his tail went wild, and every tiny squeak made us laugh even harder.

When the pup cup finally arrived, and it was nearly as big as he is, it was game over. He buried his face right in, whipped cream first, and all in his world was right. Nothing staged or exaggerated, just genuine happiness over a treat he waited so patiently to receive.
People watching completely understood the moment. Viewer @Daisylou wrote, “The anticipation is brutal!”
And @MikaLou added, “Shame on them, they should have had that Pup Cup ready first!”
While @SandyMoroney said what every dog parent was thinking: “What in the baby Yoda is going on with those incredible ears? Is that a special breed? Instant add to cart!”
Someone else pointed out, “If we could harness the energy in that happy tail, I think we could end our energy crisis.” That might be dramatic, but it highlights how much excitement he had packed into such a small body.
It’s not just whipped cream that Tinker enjoys. Watch his happy dance at the bank as he awaits his cookie in this December 4 TikTok:
Why Pup Cups Spark Such Big Reactions
Dogs really do remember the experiences they share with us, not just the big trips or dramatic events, but the small routines too. According to PetMD, dogs rely heavily on associative memory, meaning they connect familiar settings and sequences with expected outcomes.
That helps explain why so many pups perk up the moment they recognize a drive-thru window. The sound of an order being taken, movement outside the car, and a hand reaching toward the door are cues that often lead to something good.
Tinker has clearly been here before. The way he sat up and watched closely is exactly how many dogs react when they know a treat is part of the routine. That small cup of whipped cream was clearly what he had been waiting for, and he wasted no time enjoying it.
And for those of us watching, it easily became the highlight of the day as well.
