Pit Bull Waits by the Window for Pizza Delivery Just Like a Hungry Human

We’ve all been there. The call was made for a food delivery and it feels like it’s taking forever. Regardless if it’s DoorDash, Uber Eats or a pizzeria that delivers, watching for that car to pull up with your meal sometimes takes patience that is hard to muster.

Zara the Pit Bull apparently has a penchant for pizza and basically stands on guard to receive it the second it shows up.

In the TikTok from @zarathepit, the canine cutie was snuggled in her dog bed by the fireplace enjoying some down time. Then, her mom said something that was music to Zara’s ears.

“Zara, the pizza’s coming!” her mom told her. Some may have wondered why Zara was given this update, but the video explained why it was so important.

“My dog waits by the window every time I order pizza,” the onscreen text read.

Zara didn’t react at first so her mom repeated the news that pizza was on its way. The pretty Pittie immediately turned her head toward the door and got up from her cozy cushion. She walked over to the window and stared outside in the hopes of seeing the delivery car’s headlights.

“Wait for the pizza,” her mom instructed. “Yeah, Mommy ordered pizza. It’s coming.”

Mere words couldn’t contain Zara’s anticipation for the smell of some savory slices. She jumped onto the bay window seat to watch for the pizza’s arrival so not a second was wasted. The scrumptious aroma and ceremony of the delivery process was enough to brighten Zara’s day.

Can Dogs Eat Pizza?

Many pet parents, myself included, have occasionally slipped their pups a piece of pizza crust or a tidbit of the cheesy part. While it may seem like a harmless food for our fur babies, experts advise against giving dogs any part of a slice.

Pizza often contains ingredients in the sauce, like onions and garlic, that can be toxic to dogs. Mozzarella cheese has a high fat content, which isn’t good for canines. The crust can also have unknown ingredients like certain herbs that dogs shouldn’t consume.

Many pet brands now offer human-food favorites that are safe for our pooches, including pizza. While we love to indulge our fur babies, play it safe and go for a pet-friendly option.
