New York and Los Angeles are known for TV and film shoots, so there’s a good chance you’ll have some celebrity sightings in those cities. Even our fur babies can spot a famous face and get to rub elbows (or paws) with a superstar.
Scotch the Goldendoodle recently had a brush with fame after meeting an actor from a hit Netflix series and already has stars in his eyes.
In the Instagram post from @scotchinnyc, the gorgeous Goldendoodle sat next to Gabriel Basso, star of Netflix’s action thriller, The Night Agent. Basso plays former FBI agent Peter Sutherland in the popular spy series.
The actor crouched down alongside Scotch, more than happy to share the spotlight. The two crossed paths in a coffee shop and captured the moment for Scotch’s Instagram followers. The fur baby obviously felt a connection with Basso and is lobbying for a part on the show.
“I’m hoping to audition for The Night Agent season 4, cause clearly I can be a great sidekick!” the caption read, with the onscreen text pointing to Scotch’s flair for drama. “Who looks more serious?”
Scotch seems to be quite a character on a regular basis, with many of his social media posts showing off his adorable personality. The precious pooch dressed up in a tux for Valentine’s Day, wore on-theme glasses when he rang in 2026, and donned a Dory costume of Finding Nemo fame for Halloween. This canine cutie is obviously ready for his on-camera close-up.
Goldendoodles Are Considered Extroverts
This hybrid of Poodle and Golden Retriever is considered a designer breed. Popular with pet lovers of all ages, Goldendoodles have a playful personality and love being the center of attention.

These dogs are very friendly and thrive in social circles. They are easy to train thanks to their high intelligence and compliant demeanor. Goldendoodles often excel at agility, fun tricks, and acts of service.
Scotch hasn’t posted any updates yet on upcoming auditions or contract negotiations, but he’s clearly got the charisma to grace the big and small screens.
