Tiny Newborn Foal Falls Asleep in His Human Mom’s Arms Just Like a Baby

To some, cuddling a baby animal until they fall asleep is the most adorable dream, but for equestrian and ranch owner @katievanslyke, it’s a dream come true. Katie has the honor of caring for her horses, cows, and other farm animals through every stage of their lives, including the infant stages.

On February 21, Katie left her loyal viewers seething with jealousy after rocking a tiny foal named Glenn to sleep in her arms. The baby horse, who was born to mom Coco on February 12, is lucky to have both a biological mom and a human mom who love him to pieces, though after turning into a life-size ragdoll, it’s safe to say he has plenty of new followers falling head-over-heels for him, too.

Glenn is the luckiest foal ever! Not many baby horses get to fall asleep in a person’s arms, but this pint-sized sweetheart has more love than he knows what to do with. Between Katie, Coco, and all his new fans, this adorable little horse will be pampered well into adulthood!

“Even Coco is like ‘dang, how’d you get him to sleep so fast?” commented @ms.fervor. “I’ve been trying to get this baby down for 2 hours.'” Any parent can relate to that struggle, but they can also relate to Katie’s pure bliss while cuddling the sleepy foal.

@Itzzzjess9 remembered a famous senior dog named Noodle and his iconic sleepy videos. Noodle and Glenn have more in common than one would think! Commenter Jess got it right when she said, “He’s having a no bones day,” just like the late Pug on his laziest days.

Most viewers are too busy swooning over the baby horse’s priceless snuggles, but a few commenters like @love_to_love_puppies were smart enough to think ahead. She wrote, “It’s all fun and games until he’s full-grown and still expects you to do this.” By the time he’s an adult, only his head will still fit in Katie’s lap!

Why Gray Horses Lose Their Color

As the equestrian explained in an earlier video, Glenn will also be gray when he’s fully grown, just like his mama. The majority of white and gray horses, like Coco, aren’t born with a colorless coat, though some horses lose their color faster than others.

Dr. Leif Andersson, a professor in the VMBS Department of Veterinary Integrative Biosciences and Uppsala University, explains, “Gray horses are born with normal coat pigment—like black or brown—that gradually lightens as they age and eventually becomes gray or white.”

A lot is going to change as Glenn grows up, but everyone hopes his gentle, loving personality stays the same. Even though he’ll be too big to hold like a baby one day, he’ll never be too old to be the baby to both of his mamas.
