Some of us are summer people! We live for sunshine and the possibility of going for a swim. It turns out it’s not only humans who look forward to taking a dip.

One Golden Retriever is trying to tell his family that it is definitely time to get back in the water.

Take a look at this hilarious clip from TikTok in which Vader, the Golden Retriever, is eagerly waiting for his family to fill the pool so he can live his best life.

“I think my Golden Retriever is telling me he wants a pool day,” Vader’s family captioned the clip.

He’s too cute. This guy deserves a little fun in the sun, for sure!

“Some water in here would be nice, Mom,” one person said.

“He said WATER ME PLEASE!” a commenter noted.

“Give the man a full pool!” another implored.

“BLESS HIS HEART AWEEEEE,” a fan wrote.

It’s clear that Vader was born to be near water. Just look at how happy he is while strolling on the beach! So happy, in fact, he didn’t even notice his family was no longer close behind him as he sauntered along the shoreline! Take a look!

Are Golden Retrievers Natural Swimmers?

Vader isn’t alone in his love for swimming. Golden Retrievers are natural-born swimmers. Much like Labradors and Newfoundlands, these dogs have strong builds, powerful legs, and webbed feet (who knew?), which make them well-equipped for the water!

Other dogs, such as Pugs or Bulldogs, may not love the idea of a swim because of their shorter legs.

Vader certainly seems ready for the summer season! We bet that if he could pull over the garden hose and fill up that pool on his own, he would! And we don’t blame him one bit. Taking a swim is great exercise and also a fun way to relax on a warm afternoon.

We hope someone fills that pool and makes Vader’s swim dreams come true!
