‘Fat and Jobless’ Siberian Cat Is Cracking Everybody Up

A Siberian cat named Nimbus has become famous for his grouchy personality and nightly antics that leave us all in stitches. We don’t even think he tries to make anybody laugh; he’s just really good at it, and his mom seems to always be in the right place at the right time to catch his hilarious moments on camera and share them with the rest of us.

But in this video, Nimbus isn’t doing anything at all… literally! There’s a meme making the rounds right now where people show off their “fat and jobless” pets just existing, and Nimbus fits the theme perfectly. The way he plops down in this clip had us laughing out loud the first time we saw it!

Nimbus looked very comfy in this video! We love his flop into the corner and could watch it on repeat!

Healthy Weight Loss Tips for Cats

Nimbus’ mom wrote in the video’s caption that her Siberian cat was called “chonky” at his last vet appointment. After seeing this video, we can see why. He’s letting it all hang out, and he’s sporting quite a furry belly!

Commenter @Nikki1129 pointed out, “He needs the weight, so he doesn’t tip over when he’s rounding those corners!” His nightly antics include running around like a racecar driver, so she makes a good point!

How can you tell if your cat could stand to lose a few pounds? Petco has an easy way to check.”When you look at your cat, you should be able to see their waistline from a top view as well as a slight upward indentation from a side view. When petting your cat’s side, if you cannot feel any ribs, or you notice a pronounced “pooch” from a side view, your cat may have extra weight on them.”

If your kitty needs to slim down a bit, consider switching to a high-quality, weight management cat food, or ask your vet for recommendations. You’ll also want to scale back on the daily treats. Petco reminds pet parents that treats should make up no more than 10% of a kitty’s overall diet.
