Baby Goat Spending All Her Time With Her Bffs in the Chicken Coop Is Too Cute

There are certain joys in raising animals together that are hard to explain. You get to see animals that normally don’t interact with each other become the best of friends. Like one little baby goat who’s become very attached to the chickens at her home. The baby doesn’t just love these chickens, she thinks she is one! Her mama even caught her hanging out in the chicken coop — yet again.

Brooke Thomas was definitely cracking up when she realized where her goat had gone. She was just chilling with her chicken buddies, NBD.

Surprise! Which one of these little critters is not like the others? You just never see goats and chickens hanging out together like this. Although now that you mention it there might be a good reason why.

I kid, I kid. Truly, I can only imagine how scared Thomas must’ve been the first time she realized her baby goat was missing. And then how relieved she was when she found the baby in the most unusual place — the chicken coop.

“Our baby goat identifies as a chicken,” she joked in the video’s caption. “She never goes with the other goats to sleep. I find her here every night instead,” she added.

It’s just so funny. Who knew that chickens make excellent sleeping companions? People in the comments section were quick to take the baby goat’s side.

“And who are we to tell her that she is in fact not chicken?” wondered one commenter.

“Seems like the chickens are ok with it. Carry on,” another commenter pointed out.

“She said, ‘can’t you see us chickens are trying to sleep?’” joked one commenter.

“The goat says ‘leave me alone mom. I’m happy,’’ teased someone else.

Can Chickens and Goats Get Along?

This is adorable for lots of reasons. One of which is that goats and chickens aren’t usually this close! Many people keep goats and chickens on their farm, but it’s important to know what needs the different animals have and to be mindful of their space. Goats can sometimes eat chicken feed, which is bad for them. And each can get health issues from the other if you’re not cautious.

It is possible to keep chickens and goats together, they might even become BFFs.
