Pit Bull Puppy Snuggling Up for a Nap With Her Big Brother Is As Sweet As It Gets

A lot of things shift when a new Puppy enters the house. Sleep schedules go out the window, toys seem to multiply overnight, and suddenly, playtime is the main event from sunrise to well past bedtime. Our older pets sense that shift immediately. From the barks and wiggles to the happy chaos swirling around them, they do their best to settle into it.

Which is what Arlo the Pit Bull was attempting to do when he tucked himself into his bed, ready for a quiet snooze. That is, until Asha, his tiny puppy sister, came along with a very different plan. While he may have been hoping for a break, he simply couldn’t resist her charms.

Check out the adorable moment in this Instagram from @ashabearandarlobalu, shared on November 7:

I mean, really, who could say no to that little sweetheart? Even with tired eyes, it’s tough to ignore a puppy wrapped in a pink blanket trying her very best to climb into your bed for a snuggle.

Those tiny legs just didn’t stand a chance with the blanket dragging behind her, so she abandoned it halfway through. Thankfully, Arlo had plenty of his bright orange Halloween blanket within reach, and like a patient big brother, he let her climb close by his side. The scene got even sweeter when she started giving him those soft little nose kisses, the kind puppies seem to be born knowing how to give.

If you’ve ever questioned whether getting a puppy is worth it, these two provide a pretty convincing answer. Though it may come with sleepless nights and plenty of hectic moments, times like this remind us why the effort is always worthwhile.

Introducing Puppies to Older Dogs

ClickerTraining explains that puppies and older dogs usually adjust best when families take it slow and keep things unforced. Puppies bring a lot of energy, so giving both dogs space, keeping early meet-ups brief, and supervising until they learn each other’s rhythm helps build trust.

Watching Arlo and Asha together, you know just how true that is. You can see the patience, the trust, and the comfort they’ve already started building.
