Sometimes, I watch videos on TikTok, and I’m not sure what I’m seeing. Such is the case with this clip of a little black kitten, who is retrieving a sponge wand tool from the sink. He doesn’t need it. He has no chores to do. It’s not like he’s going to go scrub down the floor, or wash the car, or clean out the litter box, but he’s grabbing it anyway. He looks like a kitten on a mission.
The way he prances away once he’s procured it? It’s seriously so far beyond cute. Little tail in the air. So proud, it’s ridiculous. I’m not sure what his plan is now. Check this cutie out.
This kitten has fans! “That little strut is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen,” replied one viewer. Many commenters brought up “The Aristocats” and how much he reminded them of the cats in that movie, “AristoCats live action type of walk,” or even “The Lion King,” “He walks just like Simba!”
One thing is for certain, people could sit and watch that walk all day. “The march was ADORABLE,” said one viewer, while another replied, “The strut around the sink is sending me.”
Why Do Cats Steal Things?
I
A cat has two main reasons for stealing your items: either the cat wants to play with you or they want your attention, and grabbing whatever they can find nearby is a quick way to get both. Diablo isn’t really trying to clean the house or the litter box (though it would be nice if he was!). He just saw something interesting and decided it was now his. I’m sure it’s not the first time or the last.
The tiny march he does once he steals that sponge? He knows he’s adorable. Who could be angry with him? And he’s prancing off with his little prize like he’s the world’s smallest and most adorable cartoon villain, thrilled and proud of himself the entire way. And so are we, Diablo. So are we.
