Our pets learn pretty quickly that certain things they do will score them a favorite treat, and it’s not always in a positive way. Amanda of the Smith Homestead shared a video of her Tuxedo cat, Sammy, pretending to have a hurt paw in order to get some whipped cream, but the ruse doesn’t last very long!
Turn up your sound because not only does Sammy limp along the kitchen counter holding up his paw, but he also pathetically meows to let his parents know how much pain he is in, further proving he needs a treat. The whole thing will crack you up!
We laughed when Sammy’s dad called him a big faker at the end of the video. He forgot his paw was hurt as soon as he saw that whipped cream! In the caption Amanda shared, “Sammy is back at his antics… PROOF he’s faking at the end!” He needs to work on his acting skills for sure!

Commenters LOL at Sammy’s Acting Skills
It probably won’t come as a surprise that Amanda’s video went viral, now with more than 9 million views, 1.7 million likes, and more than 11k comments. People couldn’t get enough of Sammy’s acting skills!
@Jayona got more than 132k likes when she said what Sammy was probably thinking, “Ohhh, my pawwww! I wish I had some whipped cream on it or sumnnnn…” @PhoenixFire joked, “Oh, his paw’s fine now that the whipped cream is out? I guess you could call that… a Miracle Whip.”
Commenter @Autumn Vanweir got nearly 300k likes when she shared, “That is NOT a faker. That is an ACTOR. And we applaud this performance.” Another commenter added, “And the Oscar gooooes to… Sammy!”
We laughed when @Beth said, “Let him stay home from school and watch Wheel of Fortune and Grandma’s soap operas, please.” We always used to watch The Price is Right when we were sick, but the Wheel of Fortune would work, too!
