It’s always entertaining watching our dogs try to be sneaky, like when they pretend to be asleep until they hear us whisper their favorite treat, or when they fake being hurt to get some extra attention. Lauren Faquay’s Golden Retriever, Finn, does something just as funny: he walks in slow motion when he tries to sneak up on her, as you’ll see in this video.

Finn walks towards his mom in slow motion for almost an entire minute, quietly stepping – or more accurately – tiptoeing to her. It’s like he thinks if he moves very slowly, she won’t notice him! Watch to the end because what happens when he gets to her is the cutest part of the whole clip!

We keep saying that Finn is moving in slow motion, but Lauren corrected us in the caption, “No, it’s not slow motion. We call this ‘creeping’.” Whatever you call it, it sure is cute!

Funny Reactions to Finn’s Creeping

One thing that everybody seemed to notice and loved was Finn’s pointed toes with each step he took. One commenter shared a screenshot of his front paw, and others replied. Like @BF, who asked, “When did he start en pointe?” @Meg added, “toss toss… leg.” @EchoesandEscapades joked, “OnlyPaws lol!”

We laughed when @Lisa_Lisa said, “He’s gonna get you by next Tuesday LOL!” @P agreed, “Estimated delivery 7-10 business days lol!”

Commenter @Reen Elizabeth shared, “Growing up, I had a golden who would do this every night with the bunnies in our yard, who were all 100% not afraid of her. It brought her so much joy to feel she was being sneaky!”

@who_dat178 pointed out, “Maybe he’s doing Tai Chi…” @Dana shared, “He’s invisible LOL! Cracks me up when they do this!”
