Golden Retriever puppies are easily some of the most precious beings in existence. Aside from being the baby versions of some of the most loving and loyal dogs imaginable, they also exhibit a curiosity and love towards other living creatures that is simply irresistible.
Just take the precious little Golden Retriever puppy, Maple, in this video, for instance. One of her favorite pastimes is being held by her human brother so that she can get an up-close look at the hummingbird feeder in their backyard. This is easily one of the most heartwarming things we have seen on the Internet all day!
While some dogs would bark nonstop, wanting to chase these birds away, or even just try to play with them in an enthusiastic way that can easily overwhelm such small creatures, Maple does something totally different.

This good golden girl just calmly watches these hummingbirds go about their business with the gentlest curiosity imaginable. Maple is clearly a loving fur angel without a mean bone in her body. As contented as she is to watch these gorgeous hummingbirds just do their thing, we are just as happy to observe her adorable, loving curiosity!

Some viewers on social media remarked that at first they mistook Maple for a precious human baby before realizing that she was actually a puppy because of her calm, gentle nature: “At first I thought he was holding a baby, but then I saw he was holding a baby!”
While other social media users commented on Maple’s remarkable fascination with the hummingbirds: “The puppy is totally captivated! She hasn’t looked away even for a moment!”
